About the Founder & President

Anthony Ikechukwu Okonkwo was born on the 6th of January, 1978. He is the ninth among the ten children of Late Sir & Late Lady George & Agnes Okonkwo of Ogbaeke, Ihioma in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State in the South Eastern part of Nigeria. He studied Philosophy at Pontifical Urban University Rome and The University of Nottingham, United Kingdom and Management of Information Systems at Meridian College of Computing, London, United Kingdom. He was accepted for a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management at Western University, London Ontario, Canada. Hon. Anthony Okonkwo has served his state, Imo, as a Board Member in Imo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (ISPHCDA) and as a youngest Cabinet Member in charge of the Ministry of Public Orientation and Religious Affairs. He was a member of the Presidential Inauguration Committee of the current President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He achieved a lot in these two positions by making primary and public healthcare in Imo State what they should be. He initiated, proposed, and recommended the establishment of the Imo Pilgrim Board and Imo Scholarship Board. Hon. Okonkwo made a record since the establishment of the Nigeria Pilgrim Commission by making the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, sponsor 3,000 Imo State Residents to Jerusalem and Jordan for Christians and to Mecca and Medina for Muslims. He is a strong liaison between the Church and the State. He has promoted healthy relationships among different Religions in Imo State. He is currently working very hard as a licensed British-trained security officer with Nigerian local intelligence to checkmate insurgency in Imo State and neighbouring states. He has been the voice of the voiceless and the vulnerable in the state for over a decade. This is why there is a clarion call for him to contest as the next Governor of Imo State because he is generally accepted across political party lines and zones. With proper funding of his campaign logistics budgeted at $5, 000, 000 USD, he will be successful. He has the capacity to change the ugly narratives of Nigeria, even from Imo State, because naturally, he is compassionate, has eyes for details, and he has the travel exposure that will enable him to seamlessly connect Imo State and Nigeria with the civilised world for People-Oriented Governance.

Currently, he stays more in Canada with his family and travels back to Nigeria whenever political duties call him. He worked as a Student Recruitment Advisor for ICCS College of Canada. Sparked by the fact that Nigeria is often spoken about with contempt and derision and also as an advocate for reorientation of youths, social justice and passionate about changing the ugly face of Nigeria nationally and internationally and putting a stop to abuse of human rights and dignity, marginalization and social injustices, Anthony formed a Nonprofit Organization, Mentality Development and Change Foundation (MDCF).

He is a Director at Softmind Benefits International Limited, Lagos, Nigeria. He was a Business Development Manager at Uche Joe Obi & Partners (UJOP), a real estate firm in Owerri, Imo State Nigeria for six years. He is an acclaimed author and has written many published and unpublished newspaper articles. Anthony lived in United Kingdom for five years from 2004 before he relocated to Nigeria in 2009 and has been impacting on Nigerian Citizens the good things he learnt from Nigeria's colonial masters' land. This is why he strongly believes that Great Britain has obligatory roles to play towards Nigeria's National Development; a responsibility which Great Britain must not shy away from no matter the sovereignty of state argument.

Anthony loves God's affairs, good food, driving, educative travelling, reading, table tennis, writing, investment relations and making friends. He is married to Mrs. Mary Amarachukwu Okonkwo and blessed with children.
