Biography of Pastor-Teacher Harry L. James

Pastor Harry L. James received the baptism of the Holy Spirit May 6, 1977 and was called into the ministry in 1978. He began and continued as an evangelist conducting street services in the city of Fort Myers, Florida until 1986.

From 1986 through 1988, Pastor James Pastored the Tabernacle Fellowship Church. He has also hosted the radio ministry known as "Jesus Today" where he ministered to thousands.

Pastor James attended the Florida Institute of Christian Studies, taking various courses in biblical principles, leadership Training, and Old and New Testament Surveys.

He has traveled and recorded and ministered in song with a musical group known as the Sounds of Joy. They shared a unique style, as they ministered the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor James studied under Dr. Bill Basansky, a former professor of Oral Roberts University. He continues to travel to various cities with Dr. Basansky as they preach the word of truth.

The Word of Truth Ministries is presently continuing in the relentless pursuit of excellence, featuring Pastor-Teacher Harry L. James: God in the Man. He conducts revival meetings, produces a weekly ministry broadcast and has found the time to author a book as he preaches the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This biography would not be complete without a fitting tribute to his loving wife of 27 years, Mrs. Dorothy A. James. She is a true definition of a virtuous woman. She prays, labors and studies with Pastor James and diligently seeks God for direction in all of their affairs.

Moved to Atlanta, Georgia- Established and built a television studio, thus, television evangelism was launched. Also, continues to travel and conduct revival meetings around the world.
